Audition Requirements
Vocal (for all students)
Monologue (for speaking roles)
Vocal (for all students)
- Each student must prepare a vocal piece and perform it from memory.
- The piece must be performed with accompaniment only. No vocals are permitted on the accompaniment track.
- Accompaniment tracks can be brought to the audition on CD, MP3 player, or IPod. Please do not expect to "live stream" any music.
- Please limit your selection to musical theatre, preferably musicals similar in nature to Footloose.
- You MAY NOT perform a selection from Footloose for your audition.
***SPECIAL NOTE: If you are ONLY interested in being a part of the ensemble, you may perform your musical selection in small groups of 3 or less. All other requirements still apply.
Monologue (for speaking roles)
- Monologues should be at least between 1 and 2 minutes long.
- Selections must be delivered from memory.
- Students who auditioned for A Charlie Brown Christmas may chose to use that audition for the monologue portion or perform a new piece.
