Auditions for Mamma Mia will be different from past auditions. I am hoping to make the process more educational and less intimidating for everyone! I would LOVE to see some new faces for this year's shows, so please encourage your friends to "not throw away their shot!"

THE THREE MAGIC DATES
August 25 - 3:30 to 5:30
Material Selection Workshop
(drop in or stay the whole time)
*During this time, Mr. Franklin will be available to help you pick out materials to prepare for your audition. If time allows, he will also provide coaching if you have already prepared your audition material. Help will also be available on the prepared audition choreography.
September 1 - 3:30 to 5:30
CoachingWorkshop
(drop in or stay the whole time)
*During this session, Mr. Franklin will be available to coach you on any of your prepared materials. You may also use this time to work with a partner on your materials. This time is said aside to help you be successful!
September 8
Formal Auditions
Session 1 - 3:30 to 4:30
Session 2 - 4:30 to 5:30
Session 3 - 5:30 to 6:30
All students will begin the audition session by performing the prepared choreography together as a group.
Next, all students will learn a new choreography combination.
Individually, students will perform their monologue (if prepared) and their musical selection.
Once you have performed, you are free to leave.
What Do I Need:
A 1-2 minute monologue performed from memory
*only required if you are interested in a speaking role
AND
A prepared musical theatre selection
AND
The Prepared Choreography Combination

Audition Requirements
Vocal (for all students)
Monologue (for speaking roles)
Choreography (for all students)
Vocal (for all students)
- Each student must prepare a vocal piece and perform it from memory.
- The piece must be performed with accompaniment only. No vocals are permitted on the accompaniment track.
- Please limit your selection to musical theatre, preferably pop musicals similar in nature to Mamma Mia.
- You MAY NOT perform a selection from Mamma Mia for your audition.
Monologue (for speaking roles)
- Monologues should be at least between 1 and 2 minutes long.
- Selections must be delivered from memory.
Choreography (for all students)
- Prepare the choreography combination found HERE
