Good Afternoon Christmas Crew!

I hope everyone is doing well and that your Thanksgiving was positively wonderful!

I have a few things to share with you as we move into the final weeks of the semester.

• ELF MEALS - Tomorrow begins tech-week for Elf, which means longer evening rehearsals, which means we try to provide meals.  I am so sorry for not getting this information out earlier.  It really snuck up on me.  Below are the meals we are trying to cover.  If you are willing and able to take one, please let me know.  We have 37 students in this production.

• STADIUM CLEAN-UP - This Friday, our Football team will be playing at home and the athletic department has offered to make a nice donation to our program for picking up after the game.  We have done this before and it really only takes 30-45 minutes after the game.  The donation is bigger for this game because the attendance is expected to be bigger, so I am hoping to try and have more hands than normal.  I have already sent this information to the kids, but sometimes they don't tell you so they have an excuse to not stay and help.  Did I mention that we WELCOME parent help as well?  I anticipate the game ending around 10 pm.  If you are willing and able to help, please let me know.  All help will be GREATLY appreciated!
  
  
• PAINT PARTY - I thought the Paint & Sip Party would be a hit, but so far has been a flop.  Based on feedback, we have rescheduled the party to Sunday, December 4 at 3 pm.  We have also put out a coupon code for Buy One Get One 50% off.  Tickets are $30 and cover all supplies as well as hot cocoa and apple cider.  Please help me share this information with folks who might be interested.  If this event has not picked up some traction by mid-week, we will end up canceling.  
  
  
• BREAKFAST WITH BUDDY - This was another event I thought would be a hit but is not showing any momentum.  Breakfast with Buddy will be held on Saturday morning, December 10 at 10 am.  Student tickets for a regular performance are $7.  Breakfast with Buddy tickets add $8.  Adult tickets remain the same at $10.  Attendees will have a sweet-treat breakfast with Buddy, some Christmas crafts and games, and take some pictures with Buddy and his friends.  At 11:30, the attendees will move to the Black Box Theater for their performance of Elf Jr.  This is a perfect event for our younger audience members and would love to see the ticket sales pick up.  
  
  
• ELF JR. - Ticket sales for Rock of Ages were down about 230 and we are seeing a similar pattern for Elf.  Please help us promote this show to those who would enjoy it.  Behinds-In-Seats is the best way to keep our program afloat.  We have to pay royalties for each individual performance, so if the audience is low, we can actually lose money on that performance.  This was the case for some of our Rock of Ages performances.  If ticket sales don't pick up this week, I may need to cancel one or more of the performances.  
  
  
• CAR DOOR DUTY - On Friday, December 2, some of the cast and crew will be going to  Catawba Springs to open car doors in costume.  We are hoping this will help promote ticket sales as well.  Students participating will need to meet in the rehearsal room by 7 AM to get ready.

​Good Morning Everyone!
One of our parents has made a request/suggestion for Sunday's final performance that I want to pass along.  The request is for parents to dress up as 80s rockers and be in the audience for the final show.  Please consider if this is something you would be willing to do.  I know the kids would love it.  No need to tell me your plans, I'm just passing the idea along.

I am in search of an old school slide projector.  Does anyone happen to have one stored away that we could use for Rock of Ages?  Bonus points if you might have a portable pop up screen.

I have caused some confusion today around school asking for this item by name, so I will share a picture for good measure.
